President’s Message & Easter 2024

SUNRISE SERVICE
Was great to enjoy last year’s Easter Sunrise Service with those of you who joined us! A great number of you were here to share the experience. This year, I am certain, word will travel so many others will know we are celebrating large! The Memory Gardens Easter Sunrise Service will take place at 7a.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Chaplain Claudia Meyer will preside over the service. We are grateful to her for sharing her compassionate and comforting words with us for the Celebration. We wish to remember The Reverend Bruce Cornwell of the Community Reformed Church of Colonie who passed away this Fall. He was our celebrant at the Easter Service for many years. We celebrate his life this year as our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Our 2024 Floral Placement Service will begin in time for Easter. You may purchase a single bouquet of beautiful fresh or silk flowers for the Holiday or choose a plan for the Seasons through Fall. You can place your orders on our website, by mail, over the phone with credit card, or in person. Have any questions, give the office a call at 518-869-9506. Our wonderful staff will be happy to assist you.

Be sure to review our Bylaw Proposals and elect our Board Members up for renewal. We are looking for your input regarding a Green Garden, so please share your insight with our survey.

Survey on Green Garden
Memory Gardens has been exploring the community’s interest in a Green Burial Garden. This Garden would only allow biodegradable caskets or shrouds. No traditional caskets, vaults, grave liners, or bronze memorials would be allowed in this Garden. Lots and burials in a Green Garden section would require additional fees. Would you or your family members be interested in purchasing lots in a Green Burial Garden here at Memory Gardens?

To submit your vote for the above proposals and survey, please download our Spring 2024 newsletter (PDF).
